@melwaverly.bsky.socialI like to think I've gotten better at cutting/editing. Specifically, cutting things that, while well-written/good, maybe don't serve the plot/characters as best they could. I say this after just having cut a sweet scene that I love yesterday, but I realized was contributing nothing new.

In No Sky Like Midnight, Paige doubts everyone's motives. That makes the tension worse when ppl have to save her, & leads to the big crisis moment. Leo is obnoxious & hates humans, so his reactions tend to be volatile (though never violent).
