New homie on #ReelRank 😎

@kcookandcatsco.bsky.socialSep 15, 2026, 7:15 PM

I kind of want to leave my Hudson Hawk review 69 posts-long (hehe), so here's the #ReelRank review that ordinarily caps these off: reelrank.net/r/0002ee

As it turns out, I did not care for it! 🧐

Heading to the movies for a rare outing as sitting home alone is driving me a bit sad. Seeing Buddy from 2026. D: Casper Kelly who was behind Too Many Cooks so this should be entertaining. #Filmsky #Horrorsky #Reelrank #Letterboxd

I recommend checking #ReelRank! There’s a Popular This Week carousel, Now Watching banner that shows what others on the platform are watching, trailers for upcoming films, the Recent Reviews stream…

Always a bit of a bummer to me when I don't immediately recognize any of the three #ReelRank Daily Game movie posters, and that is what has happened here...

I should know the left and middle one. I recognize their shape/colors, but can't for the life of me OH I JUST REMEMBERED THE FIRST ONE

Pretty motley assortment of films on the #ReelRank Popular This Week panel 🤓

reelrank.net

I'll tell you what's UNpopular on ReelRank this week, and it's Hudson Hawk. I'm about to tear that #film a new asshole (or three).

Attack of the Clones is odd, but I guess we're nerds, so 🤷‍♀️

Seeing Buddy later today, in the meantime checking out Monkey's Magic Merry Go Round from either 2024 or 2026. Similar theme to Buddy or Mr. Crockett. D:Aidan Leary #Filmsky #Horrorsky ##Reelrank #Letterboxd

Following that up with 2010's Remember Me. Seems to be a dark romantic drama? Seems interesting enough. D: Allen Coulter. #Filmsky #Reelrank #Letterboxd

I'm such a killjoy 🤣

@applescruff909.bsky.social and @reelrank.bsky.social know, lol.

There are a lot of #ReelRank film pages that are like this, with one or two, glowing, near-perfect reviews, and then my title will be, 'The worst thing in the history of art,' or something like that 😆

#FilmSky 📽️

This is for Looper, which I did NOT care for. A beloved film, lol.

As I am watching Law and Order SVU from the start this next movie seemed to fit. My Mom Jayne, a documentary about being the daughter of Jayne Mansfield. This is by Mariska Hargitay. #Filmsky #Reelrank #Letterboxd #Documentary

I bet you can get the Easy poster on the #ReelRank Daily Game today... 🤓

reelrank.net

I also cast a few votes for Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die in Movie-vs-Movie, a #film I don't really enjoy or like, but which has Sam Rockwell in it (none of the others did).

#FilmSky 📽️ #MovieSky 🎞️

I wonder if that first one is the sequel to The Shining...Meh! I like the cover art/poster more than the film, tbh, but there's fun to be had in Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die.

I'm on a bit of a roll. There were 2 other ones I've already forgotten, so this is 4. Outland, with (inexplicably) Sean Connery. 1981. Classic film.

Kidding! Only weirdos know/like it.

Anyone else on #ReelRank added any fun or interesting #films lately? 🤓

Okay! Who *is* on #ReelRank, but has *not* done Best of 2024s yet? We're nearly halfway through September, and I'm supposed to write up #RetCon2024 results in early October, so anyone who hasn't done this part yet, lmk. I'll help 🤓

I reckon @nezzkobedamned.bsky.social and @salvius23.bsky.social *have* to be nearly out of #letterboxd reviews to port over, which will likely end their 3-digit wks

How about @sophiemac.bsky.social popping up in the top-5! Well done ☺️ @hmmadness.bsky.social, too!

Big drop-off between 3 and 4 (me), but hey, a leaderboard is a leaderboard. I wonder why the tie goes to me in this case, instead of SophieMac. It's nothing I designed, I assure you.

I'm still finding #movies to get to first on #ReelRank in order that I might get that XP. I crave the XP. I find XP delicious and scrumptious, and I want all of it 🤤

The Firm (1993). Read Grisham's book years ago, so knew this had a high chance of excelling. It didn't disappoint. Packed cast - Cruise, Tripplehorn, Gene Hackman, Ed Harris, Holly Hunter, Terry Kinney, David Straithairn... I'd forgotten the plot, so was on the edge of my seat #FilmSky #ReelRank

Screenshot from the film of Jeanne Tripplehorn as Abby McDeere and Mitch McDeere, played by Tom Cruise, walking on a tree-lined driveway as they chat.Screenshot from the film of Gene Hackman playing Avery Tolar. He's wearing a grey and white striped shirt as he sits in an office. He has the phone receiver by his neck and is talking to someone in the room who we can't see. A screenshot of Holly Hunter playing Tammy Hemphill. She's in an office, but is standing up and has her coat on.
