I've been following this gorgeous polypore's development since it was a little bulb. This was a view of it at dusk last night. I'm going to go visit again later tonight. Happy #FungiFriday!
I offer this beast for #FungiFriday. It was the size of a large sprawling cabbage growing out of a hole left by an axed tree. Pinky-brown & orange colour with fabulous crenellations & slabs of flesh. A whole colony of these had overtaken a tree stump site.

Weirdly blue lichen at the beach yesterday - possibly Ramalina siliquosa that’s been exposed/covered with something? There were several separate tufts all the same colour. There was remains of a campfire nearby 🤨 (northeast England).

Spending all my spare time, looking for fungi. I got these Fly Agaric, the other day.

Fly Agaric fungus, in my local patch of woods some spoilsport always seems to have stamped on these before I find them, here's a little one that got away 🌱🍄

Today's #FungiFriday feature is the shaggy parasol spotted by our National Tree Warden Scheme Coordinator, Sam.
Shaggy parasols often grow in "fairy rings" and, in European folklore, these mysterious circles were said to be where fairies, pixies and elves danced.
Massive Bolete alert! 🚨 It was bigger than my head, but my hand was easier to photograph next to it for scale!
I spotted it under an Oak tree. Would anyone be able to suggest an ID?
2026-09-25: A banner day on the local trail; I took over 150 photos of fungi. Here's a handful of my favourites.
Some sort of weird soufflé or a cheese scone? Either way I think they left it in the oven for too long cause it looks burnt. #fungifriday
