So perhaps stop blaming Kent Police for a situation they didn’t create. They were handed a large, disruptive crowd at a critical international gateway and had to restore access with limited resources. The protesters created the mess. Police had to contain it.

No arrests at the scene doesn’t mean nobody can face consequences. If individuals deliberately obstructed the highway, police can examine CCTV, body-worn footage and other evidence afterwards. Immediate arrests aren’t the only route to prosecution.
