When a cunning plan is hatched, and it's time to put it into action, it's best to go over the steps multiple times.

The lunar impact that created the crater Tycho is estimated at about 100 million years old. That places it right in the middle of the Cretaceous. Would anything back then have noticed or cared (such as this snacky Oryctodromeus)? #paleoart #astroart #paleoastroart

A painting of the dinosaur Oryctodromeus eating plants in the late afternoon; in the background, beyond mountains, something is impacting the Moon to create the crater Tycho

Comparison of similar non-avian dinosaur and bird art 15 years apart.

Ink and watercolor sketches from 2011 at top and a 4 piece ink and watercolor from last night 2026. At top is an Oviraptor and a cassowary. On bottom at left is the head of a hen and at right the head of a very polite looking green Allosaurus. Then below is a hen in the snow facing inward and at right a Velociraptor facing inward with feathers the color of snow.

This spooky mosasaur is going to be the October sticker design my patrons will be getting by mail. This is based on tylosaurus rex and I wanted it illuminated as if seen by a diver's light or submersible #paleoart #art #drawing #painting #digitalart #stickers #stickerdesign patreon.com/dobescrusher

What time is it? It’s #Cheliceratime !
Today's entry is one of the most famous eurypterid, Megalograptus ohioensis!

All the basic infos are here but if you want to learn more, there’s more in the thread below!⬇️🧵

#arthropod #ordovician #paleoart #eurypterid #sciart #bugsky

1/4

This famous arthropod was one of the biggest eurypterids during the Ordovician period, and its genus was first identified as a graptolite. It’s well-known for the long spines on its second pair of legs and for the semi-lunar shape of its telson.

Size : a bit more than 50cm of body length
Time period : Late Ordovician
Paleoart speculativometer : Almost a carbon copy

The animal drawn looks a bit like a scorpion but without pincers, with instead large spiny arms

I wanted to paint a bunch of little watercolor sunflowers, but I lost focus and ended up with mostly dinosaurs. I plan to gift them to people at the Spokane Renaissance Faire.

#TraditionalArt #Paleoart

Pile of mixed media watercolor / ink / marker sketches on watercolor paper that will need to be cut out from the paper sheets later on. Sunflowers until I couldn't focus on sunflowers anymore then they become tyrannosaurs, a mantis, and a cat. A column of pink sunflowers with iris and pupil in the center and then 4 different Dilophosaurus sketches. Chickens on left, Allosaurus and Velociraptor at center, then a column of various bugs based on photos I've taken.

Sticking to the trend of Permian synapsids. Today is the chunky thick headed goobers Tapinocephalia!
