I added VR support to my debug console… works better than I anticipated :o Here's an example of making a performance graph... (You can also run any GDScript expression in real time, without leaving VR!)

Building someone's Rust CLI from a clone: cargo build --release already made the binary, in target/release/. On stable, cargo install --path . ignores the repo's Cargo.lock unless you pass --locked. From cargo 1.100 the lockfile is the default: the fix merged on 11 September. #RustLang #Rust

A card titled Building a Rust command-line tool from a clone, with three commands. cargo build --release: the binary is already there, in target/release, it just is not on PATH. cargo install --path . : copies it into ~/.cargo/bin; on stable cargo today, 1.98, it ignores the repo's Cargo.lock, so dependencies are resolved again, possibly to newer versions. cargo install --path . --locked: the same, built with the versions in Cargo.lock, the ones the author tested; from cargo 1.100 that is the default. Footer, quoting the stable Cargo Book on cargo install: By default, the Cargo.lock file that is included with the package will be ignored. The nightly book already says the opposite: the fix merged on 11 September 2026.

Switching from Rust to Zig turns into an argument about what modern systems programming is actually for: ironclad compile-time safety vs transparent, C-style control. Commenters jumped straight into that philosophical rift. #rustlang 1/4

Rust isn't hard. Seven ideas are.

Ownership. Borrowing. Lifetimes. Enums. Option/Result. Traits. Concurrency.

Learn those and the compiler stops fighting you and starts reviewing your code. Every snippet compiles.

This is pretty lol.
I'm kinda backup happy but I did not realize this is a loose coupling and I have a very efficient Rust compiler.
