There’s Sheltri, (my Sheltri characters speak) but also Kudrum (speech of the antagonist race), Ancient Tellinaeic (high speech of the Sheltri), High Cirdaathan (formal Firimar tongue of the holy city in S. Central Rhadhallon), and Talfúrnian, the common tongue.
I need to choose quick!

Hi friends! I am going to talk about my language Arca’raed, which is spoken by the Istemorian people in my presently untitled political fantasy.

Bonus: Arca'raed is admittedly quite developed already, but I haven't done much work on it in quite some time. It was initially created

Can y'all stop being awesome for 5 minutes?! 😆

The one I am working on is Nivani. There's a few variations and covers ASL and braille usage as well. Anything merfolk is Nivani. I think i have 100 words written down somewhere. There are a few reasons I drove myself insane with this

The yerulo have 3 languages, Dowk, Huitalizh, Lethtalon. I'm probably going to talk mostly about Dowk bc it's the only language the human character speaks, so the faeries are forced to use it to communicate with him despite that often being hella weird.

I'm gonna try and do two conlangs for this one

Old Tagoric (Tagorécu Ücelquasan) and Viechtyren (Ñolvixt)

OT is spoken by the educated people of Tagor, my fantasy world (think like Latin or Classical Arabic)

Viechtyren is the language of Viechtyr, my sci-fi planet full of anthros

The language's name is Transalpine Wolven, although its speakers refer to it as Atchua, (lit., "Our voice").

As the name suggests, it's primarily spoken by wolves. More specifically, by wolves on the continent's west coast from the midlatitudes to just before the tropics. ⬇️

#TheDragonblood: This month, we're doing the language spoken by dragons and wyverns.

Last year, I decided to give it the name of Draconian to have something to refer to it by. Now, I'm also considering Draconoidic or something along those lines. Any preferences?

#conlangity AHHH a language prompt and I get to share about my worlds SIGN LANGUAGE 🤟🏻

super simple name, they call it Handspeak and it's universal across the Realm for those with hearing loss, appraxia, or other communication barriers.

ASL is my life and it's been so fun writing sign ♥️

Good morning friendos!

The language mainly used in my #GodsOfAtalantis series is Na'aqal. It's the native language of the people of Atalantis.

I'm cheating because I've already developed this language A LOT 😅 But doing all that work was what inspired me to make this game for others!

(Knew I was missing one)

It’s not a language, i’ve only got an alphabet and some words, but it’s called Sun-Drop Standard.
The people of the Sun-Drop Archipelago speak it, as well as a few humans and Wanderers who have taken the time to learn it.
Bonus: I wanted my characters to have🪡

#Conlangity 1. All right, let’s talk about Kraslan. If you’ve followed my posts about Orasan and Kraslya in general, you might be somewhat familiar with this language already—yes, this is Nitara’s mother tongue, and as a taste of what’s to come, it’s worth remembering that 🧵

#Conlangity hello!

The language I'm gonna be talking about this month is Athan - or, to use the name humans use, Goliath. It's the language of giants.

It's a deliberately simplistic language which relies heavily on context, and I'm gonna develop it this month.

For now, the answer is simply 𝑅𝑒𝑑𝑤𝑜𝑜𝑑𝑠 𝑇𝑢𝑘ℎ𝑒́, spoken by tukhé of the Redwoods. I had not planned on there being much conlang, but fleshing out the longhouses with @khonri.com has illuminated the need and/or want for this thread in the warp and weft of Redwoods life. 🧵 1/2

Tellari-Universal is a language spoken by the Tellari species in my First Light series. It is constructed, simplified version of Tellari-Contextual, that cuts out all of the nonverbal components (pheromones and kinesics) and tries to patch up what's left with more vocalizations.

This is Siefan, and at the time a majority of my stories would take place, there's a figurative handful left who can, if that! 😂

Before that, it was primarily spoken by a prominent scholar-viking type people living mostly in a taiga biome that my immortal son Eru Ayaanskil came from. 🧵

With qustions about the culture and all I'm going to post about Nummersil, the language of the Nummerfa in Nuanderra.

(My other conlang Taketakes lil is not connected to any culture and is just a linguistic experiment, so some questions won't work)

Ooof, I don't have a name.

It's spoken by the spirits of the Dark Forest and is know to most of the humans who aren't new comers.

The most remarkable thing I've developed is the connection between the meaning of a word & its sound. It's a language where many words - 1/2

#Conlangity Day 1

We're starting off real simple! Don't get used to it 😂

What's the name of your conlang, and who speaks it in your world? Don't get too deep into the history or purpose of it yet; that'll be Day 5!

Bonus: How much do you already have developed? What made you want to make it?

Daily prompt for the #Conlangity worldbuilding game:

DAY 1
[CULTURE] Starting with the absolute basics - what's the name of your language, and who primarily speaks it in your world?

Hey everyone!

This October I'm hosting #Conlangity, a game about fictional languages!

The goal is to help total newbies craft a conlang that is realistic & usable! It will hopefully be accessible to non-linguist people, but it won't be for the faint of heart. Prepare for a challenge!
