#AwesomeCharacters

#GodsOfAtalantis:
Mireia - Results, but it depends. Break someone else's rules? Yes, she'll do that for fun. Break her own code of morality? That she's less willing to do... usually.

Kena - Honor, but he's also good at getting results.

Icozoue - Honor, mostly

Xa'aba - RESULTS!

Hi #LitHodgepodge! These are mainly instrumental choices for the main scores.

#GodsOfAtalantis - Christopher Tin, best known for his work on the Civilization games ❤️

Another great choice would be Ramin Djawadi aka the Game of Thrones guy

It's not mentioned in the story but I always draw Mireia with hoop earrings & an ankle bracelet (when I can be bothered to draw her feet lol). She is a very Jewelry Girl. She also has a simple seashell necklace that was a special gift from someone..

Ok Pam I'm gonna copy you and post 2 snips 😂

The first is from #GodsOfAtalantis Book 2, close 3rd person/Mireia's POV. Second is Noah's 1st person POV from #Tenement.

When I really lock in to Mimi, I feel like I go for a strong flowy rhythm that's a little unpredictable.🧵

She’d never felt so small.
She’d never felt so fragile.
She’d never felt so—desperate.
Kena.
Desperate to reach out and touch a hand in the darkness, and find reassurance that she wasn’t alone here after all. Desperate to feel that something still meant something, that life still had something supporting it. Desperate to do something—to do everything—before she lost her chance and it was all ripped away from her forever.
Kena.
It was all so absurdly fragile—all of it. She saw that now. She’d had a glimpse of it before when her father died, but the truth of it hadn’t really flattened her back then the way it was doing now.
It had all always been fragile. Yet what had she been doing all this time? Playing silly games, procrastinating, telling herself “soon” or “maybe tomorrow.” Letting her fears and foolish pride stop her. Assuring herself that there was no need to act now because it was all inevitable anyway. Debating with herself over pointless philosophical questions about fate and free will when it didn’t really matter, did it? The only thing that mattered was that it was all going to end, one way or another, maybe sooner, maybe later. The only thing that mattered was reaching out into that abyss and finding a hand to grasp so that you knew you weren’t really alone.
Kena.

Oh Charlie you made this question just for Mimi & Kena 😂

Mireia's plans usually don't get more complex than "Want thing, find way to get thing" 😂 Luckily she's good at improvising, though sometimes she makes choices in the moment that she later regrets...🧵

My queen Icozoue plays the archetypal role of the Mentor for Mireia & Kena in #GodsOfAtalantis.

She's there to train them to become gods & push them in plot-directions when needed, & also offer emotional support (esp in the later books).

She's also a grouchy alcoholic with RBF 😅

Digital drawing by me of Icozoue, a middle aged woman with viking style braids and a stylized wolf tattoo across the left side of her face. She wears black robes, is holding a goblet of wine, and has resting bitch face. A small crystal hangs around her neck. She is Shadow Mommy.
Cropped colored drawing of Icozoue by me showing just her head & shoulders. She's rolling her eyes and scowling like she's done with everyone's shit. Off to the side she has a little thought bubble with just a skull in it - either wishing for the sweet release of death or contemplating murdering a couple of teenage godlings.

#GodsOfAtalantis:
Jasana desperately wanted something, & was told for her whole life she was certain to get it... only to have it stolen by someone she believed was her friend. 😭

Also she's just a teenager being heavily manipulated, so I think that earns her some sympathy.

My goober bbs Mireia & Kena from #GodsOfAtalantis ❤️

Mimi's already good at swimming, & Kena has a few hobbies (gardening, writing, flute-playing). So what else might they be good at?

Colored digital sketch by me of Mireia & Kena, the MCs of my Atlantis trilogy, grinning mischievously at each other like they're sharing an inside joke. Mireia is a young woman with light brown skin and long dark brown wavy hair, gray eyes, and wears a blue top that clasps at her left shoulder. Kena is a young man with light brown skin, dark brown curly hair, amber eyes, freckles, and a red phoenix tattoo across his left shoulder and chest; he wears an gold/orange top clasped at his right shoulder and a gold necklace with rays like the sun.

#GodsOfAtalantis: Mireia, my little chaos gremlin ❤️

#Tenement: YA KNOW... I was gonna say Kazuo, but he mostly talks about doing crazy stuff. Noah actually does it 😂

#Charagma: Hmm... I may change my mind once I actually write the story, but I think probably Julius.

#Conlangity 1

Good morning friendos!

The language mainly used in my #GodsOfAtalantis series is Na'aqal. It's the native language of the people of Atalantis.

I'm cheating because I've already developed this language A LOT 😅 But doing all that work was what inspired me to make this game for others!

#GodsOfAtalantis:

Kena writes a whole day where he gets to hang out with Mireia, she tells him he's cute & they make out, and nothing bad happens.

Book 1 Mireia - she runs away in a ship with Toctha, they have a bunch of heroic badass adventures & make out.

Book 3 Mireia... 🧵

Welcome back Charlie! 😊❤️

#GodsOfAtalantis:
Mireia isn't patient AT ALL, & if she's forced to wait she will quickly get restless & probably start looking for some way to Kool-Aid Man out of the situation.

In contrast, Kena is very patient & can keep focused on long-term goals.🧵

@professoremily.bsky.socialSep 29, 2026, 7:08 PM

#GodsOfAtalantis

Mireia's favorite place is any beach, but especially her favorite cove in her hometown of Habuuket. It's where she feels free & can forget about the world.

For Kena, it's his garden. Caring for the plants gives him purpose, and he finds the process peaceful & meditative.

#GodsOfAtalantis:

I'd say Mireia & Kena are both a complicated mix of sometimes accurate, sometimes not...

Mireia is bold, blunt, stubborn & attractive, and she knows it - not in a conceited way but an honest way. She'll be self-deprecating sometimes about her bluntness, but 🧵

#SongsOfSeptember 25

For #GodsOfAtalantis Book 2, there's a scene where several newly freed slaves come out in the streets to celebrate their emancipation, & THE SONG OF FREEDOM from Doctor Who is ~the vibe~

"You've changed the world, Sea Mother" 🥹😭❤️❤️❤️

Yayyy #AwesomeCharacters happy Bi Day!

#GodsOfAtalantis:
High Priestess Xa'aba, who once had a long relationship with her fellow priestess Icozoue (💔) and is currently in some kind of relationship-ish thing with [Redacted Male Character] (🤮)

Both equally toxic. But surely not because of her!!! 😂

A colorful drawing of Xa'aba, aka "Claude Frollo meets Regina George," sometimes referred to as Colonizer Karen. She's a beautiful woman in her early forties wearing multicolored priestess robes, large earrings with feathers, and a large golden headdress. She is smiling smugly and probably judging you while plotting to persecute some heretics.

#AwesomeCharacters

#GodsOfAtalantis:

Mireia's first impression is usually: loud, blunt, has an attitude but uses it for good (usually). She tends to be very memorable, & people either come away wanting to be her friend or feeling annoyed by her 😂

Kena's first impression is reserved, thoughtful,🧵
