A bit too convoluted this one. The blackmail seemed over elaborate. The guilty person wasn't really in the episode before the final reveal. Even TLR setting fire to the house was also a bit much.

Good premise again and I like it when TLR doesn't have to be a super spy to win the day. The buffalo stampede was great esp as the buffalo had been around all episode unnoticed.

Tonto heavy ep. I liked the mid ep cliffhanger with Tonto seemingly about to murder the guy.
Once TLR has talked to the authorities on the QT the suspense is basically ended no matter how much time is left.

According to wiki there's about 90 seconds missing so maybe the other ranger's fate was in that cut? Or will he just turn up for the finale.

Poor old Lynn Roberts and William Farnum as boy they got absolutely nothing to do on screen all serial long.

I like how the writers realised TLR's motivation wasn't exactly clean cut in breaking the guy out of prison. So having TLR then change his mind was unusual.

With three 30' eps every week the schedule is insanely hard. A decent set up helps as is the case here. But the two villains at the end didn't confess so there's no evidence against them in reality.

As clip shows go this wasn't bad. The main action continued at the start and at the end. It was just the middle chunk which showed both origins ie TLR's and Smith's. It was actually nice that Joan, her dad and that kid had a chance to stop and talk for once.

#LetGeorgeDoit Radio 187 cont'd.
That was the 100th surviving ep so far. I may slow down my listening to savour these eps as this show deserves my full attention.
So I'll probably ramp up my listening of the way more disposable #TheLoneRanger instead.

I like the idea of Tonto in the sweet shop getting annoyed with that wandering kid.

TLR talks himself out of being the kidnapper suspect a bit easily but I guess that's part of the show's charm.

There are differences between Radio and Movie Serial.

The latter has an origin that TLR was a Texas Ranger who survived a massacre. On Radio TLR's background is unknown.

Also in the Movie Serial TLR does shoot to kill. Saying that nobody seems to actually die TBF!

We see the faces of the 2 rangers on the roof doing the covering fire therefore the 3rd ranger is The Lone Ranger. Hence we should be able to work out who it is when we see the 3 of them together later. But these serials will just switch it anyways I bet.
