I like the set up and the basic corruption of the soldier but again the comeuppance scheme you have to take with a pinch of salt. Mainly as it has far too many moving parts for TLR to have set up!

Twice in 2 eps they've removed the bullets from someone's gun. It was believable for that banker last ep but not so in this ep. Though at least TLR said they had made provision had he noticed.

TLR must prove a murderer who inherits a large estate in Texas is an imposter. I like when a train is involved in a TLR ep as it somehow feels like a strange modern incursion into the world building.

I liked the set up but the plot might have teased out more which person was the rustler ringleader. So it really had to be that one guy. Though I did LOL at the henchmen not saying his name even when alone!

I liked the woman's predicament and TLR ensuring she returned to home to protect her dad. But the resolution later was just an unrewarding listen.

As regards this final ep well it's fine action fare. As ever we could do with some actual drama but that's not how these serials ride.
I liked the final showdown with its Reichenbach Falls death battle between TLR and Smith.

So this serial says The Lone Ranger is Alan King. He is played by Lee Powell of the 5 wannabees. I think it's a mistake to do so and surely the IP owners were not impressed. The mystery of the character was working excellently this till indulgent unmasking.

I accept the changes needed in transfering TLR to the Movie Serial format. But they landed the clever enough idea that there are 5 men of whom one is the Lone Ranger. So getting to the last man should be enough as it breaks this version to have named TLR.

Yet the serial then makes the GIGANTiC fuckup of unmasking and naming The Lone Ranger!
