Ashrah acquiesced; the lioness had proved itself a valiant warrior, and for now, that was all that mattered to her. Should it wish to join her again, she would welcome it. Another reason had brought her to these lands, however. “How may I wield the Mystic Arts to combat Ulorzz?” Nightwolf stood and stretched. “Walk with me. And as you do, feel the energy around you. Do not try to control it. Allow yourself to simply feel it.” They crossed the undulating field in silence except for that tweeting chant, the light-and-darkness anomaly ever-present in the corner of Ashrah’s eyes. She ignored it, concentrating instead on the grass brushing her feet and the breeze grazing her skin, and as she passed beside a tree, she placed her hand on it. The trunk was firm but smooth, and when she removed her hand, she discovered a dent in its shape that faded as quickly.

#Octember 1. Well, Ashrah has been hired by plenty of devils and demons already, and even the nensy ("vampires") approve of her services later, so... 😅

Once the sword passed by her, Ashrah sprang forward, darting Datusha across the soldier’s torso and following with a— The earth shook; she lost her balance and her sword, and then the soldier slammed into her, pressing the hilt of the greatsword against her neck. Ashrah strained against the weight crushing the bones along her throat, the taste of alarun biting her tongue. Unable to aim, she rammed her fist against the general direction of the gash she had opened in the mortal’s stomach. The soldier squealed, arms going weak. Ashrah punched the injury again with more force and, wriggling her arm free, threw a fist at her enemy’s throat, causing her to drop the heavy weapon as she backed away, struggling for breath. Ignoring the ache in her neck, Ashrah retrieved Datusha, plunged it into the warrior’s gaping mouth, and dragged the blade out through bones and sinew and flesh. Slivers of teeth and bones and the sliced tongue jumped out of the hanging mandible, the two halves writhing on the floor alongside a chunk of her still-beating heart.

Ashrah would write a scene where she can bathe in a lake without worrying about curses or monsters. She misses it, and even more so after she connects with her Mystic Arts.

Ashrah and Nitara like to eat fresh fruits. Sometimes, Ashrah will also bake a cake, flatbread, or something like that, but yes, their breakfast is on the lighter side. Depending on the day, whether is colder or not, they'll drink tea or a juice.

“I sense doubt in you.” It is just that not all Nether-Touched succumb to the temptations of the Abyss. “Oh, this one has, trust me. I can feel it irradiating in every metallic fibre of my being.” The Nether-Touched wrapped the chains of her sickle around a tree and swung across the clearing, kicking a marrkal in the face before falling onto her back and rolling away from another’s sting. Rather than retaliate while the demon had its guard open, the Nether-Touched sat on her haunches, knuckles against the ground, and hooted like marrkals themselves did. Losing what wits it had left to outrage, the marrkal flailed claws and tail at the Nether-Touched, who laughed as she dodged one impalement after another. Whether with illusions or with that outlandish way of moving, she never faced them head-on. Cowardice, too, was a sign of corruption.

#AwesomeCharacters Ashrah can be patient, to an extent, when it's part of a strategy she designed. Otherwise, patience isn't among one of her many virtues, and we see this a lot through EF. We'll also this in HoF, as it's one of the reasons she struggles with 🧵

For Ashrah, it's the beach. When she steps into shallow water and sits there, the wind caressing her face and playing with her hair, small waves dancing around her—no other place brings her as much peace and that kind of quiet joy that makes her soul hum with delight.

Ashrah jumped to her feet and thrust. Lizkhy beat her wings, evading Datusha and slamming Sareena against a mass of solid ice. Disencumbered of the Nether-Touched, the balor sliced and flailed. Sareena avoided the dagger, but her low, misleading stance did not deceive the whip that etched a crimson, ragged gash on her cheek. Breathing a wall of fire between her and Sareena, Lizkhy whipped around to face her prime opponent, dagger flashing. Ashrah ducked under the short weapon, jabbed. Lizkhy drew aside and was forced to remain on the defensive as Datusha chased her in a series of slashes that hewed sparks out of the smaller blade until the balor stepped to the side and shouldered Ashrah. A blur from above. Ashrah eluded claws that set the freezing air on fire, then whirled as the wind cracked, flying above the whip, and as she came back down, she slid on the ice, avoiding the thorny ribbon again and slashing at Lizkhy’s unarmoured calf. “Aaaah, how I missed the taste of a balor’s alarun!” Datusha enthused.

Ashrah: For most of her life, no. While she greatly enjoyed the lakes of Asymoul, Arak'shiir isn't a realm that facilitates swimming since most of its bodies of water are cursed or inhabited by nasty demons. After she leaves it, though, she does learn.

She dug Datusha into the ground to steady herself, her mind racing with strategies to slay the casters before they could conjure another volley. But a series of barks echoed throughout the institute, and the pack of hellhounds did not delay in turning the corner, bolting towards her. “Fire!” Ashrah broke into a sprint towards the hellhounds, magic exploding behind her. Drool gushed out of the fiends’ mouths as they raced ever faster, black eyes dilated with hunger. The one running ahead of the group pounced, jaws wide open. With a whirl, Ashrah dodged the fiend and ripped the hound’s stomach open before swerving left into another street. “Don’t let it out of your sight!” The remaining hellhounds raised bloodied dust as they skidded and crashed into each other in their hurry to give chase.
