@tonstadtlagerplatz.bsky.socialManaged to recycle some used bits of track rather than cut up a new piece. More landscaping needed, but very happy with progress so far.

@tonstadtlagerplatz.bsky.socialRemoving the old track/ballast took about 5 mins, new points fitted nicely. Unfortunately they were old PECO points with strange electrical connections. Frog connected to the wing rail and the closure rails were NOT connected to the switch rails. Took a while to sort it but down now.

@tonstadtlagerplatz.bsky.socialThe 2nd hand points I ordered on eBay have arrived, so now to fit them. Very pleased I managed to cut through both rails without the disk shattering.
I learned the hard way not to use 50:50 PVA/water when ballasting. I use 80:20 which makes removing ballast MUCH easier.
