DON'T PUT YOUR TRUST IN POWERFUL MEN Don't put your trust in Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, or any other powerful man. Peter Thiel recently made remarks about evil, goodness, and competence, including saying that someone who is evil may be “kind of good” because they are at least getting something done. In context, he also made clear that he believes it is better to be good than evil. Christians should measure good and evil by God's Word, not by wealth, technological power, political influence, or someone's ability to “get something done.” 2 Corinthians 11:14 (KJV): “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” Psalm 146:3 (KJV): “Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.” Put your trust in Jesus Christ, not powerful men. Test everything by Scripture and do not mistake earthly power, success, or competence for righteousness.
