I love it. Many of the books I looked to for a definition had the same issue trying to succinctly put things into a concise definition. I think you've done extremely well! #ElemMathChat

A1 I feel like number sense is understanding relationships and connections with numbers and the dynamics of them. Then being able to play with numbers in flexible ways because of that understanding. It is important because when you have number sense it helps with problem solving #ElemMathChat

A1: Many of the resources I use describe how number sense is many things - which makes it hard to define. This is one definition I was able to find. #ElemMathChat

A1: Geez, start with an easy one, whydontcha?? Knowing numbers represent quantities (context-specific, perhaps), and that they can be broken apart and combined, and being able to "do things" with them fluidly. Talk about word salad! #ElemMathChat
