@carolinavonkampen.comIt's getting harder and harder to distinguish AI-generated text from well-written, well-edited human writing.
@ecmyers.comI wish I didn't have to attend @judylmohr.com's session on "Creating an AI Policy to Address Client Concerns (and Guidance You Can Give to Clients)," but I'm glad to have resources like this. #ACESVCON26
@carolinavonkampen.comThis session will also cover ways to converse with those who want to know why they should hire us instead of getting AI to do it for them.
@carolinavonkampen.comThis session will cover:
✔️ Benefits of having an AI policy
✔️ Define:
—AI-generated work
—Human-generated work
—AI-assisted work
✔️ What are writers’ fears and concerns?
✔️ What advice can we give writers?
@carolinavonkampen.comGenerative AI technology has left a mess in its wake, filled with uncertainty.
@carolinavonkampen.comYES 👏👏👏

@suzannearnold.comBeing edited: a relationship with someone who gets you and wants you to succeed.
Joyfully uplifting keynote from Kory Stamper at #ACESVCON26 on editing as being all about human relationships.
It’s not about imposing a rule book, but listening and understanding what you’re trying to do.

@carolinavonkampen.comOooh how was the flagxiety session? 👀 I want to watch the recording for sure! #ACESVCON26
@crystaledits.bsky.socialAlso part of being human: seeing whether I can make a cup of tea in the four minutes before the next #ACESVCON26 session starts.
@crystaledits.bsky.socialA theme of #ACESVCON26 sessions that I need to burn into my heart and soul: Editors are valuable even in an age of AI because we actually understand humans and their motivations. We're not just checking boxes. We're inferring truths, supporting humans with needs, and connecting ideas holistically.

@aday178.bsky.socialThank you @korystamper.bsky.social for an EXCELLENT keynote at #ACESVCON26.
So appreciated the reminder about the humanity in communication, language, and editing.
And thanks for this stellar quote: "Line your mental nest with shiny." And now I'll be singing for the rest of the day!
