Political & media class standard lines:

- flag budget savings [aka cuts to public services], but don't mention the need to raise revenue by taxing big corporates and wealthy households properly
- mention "cost of living", but not #inequality & #poverty
- *never* admit that neoliberalism has failed.

I am a Person with Disabilities #pwd, unable to work, and living in #poverty. I am writing this story as a way to keep my mind off the poverty and maybe show that folks like myself CAN still contribute to society, even if we can't work a conventional job.
