I think this little one might be a meadow pipit. She was very curious about me and hung out watching me take her picture for quite a few minutes until a seagull scared her off.

The Plain Prinia (Prinia inornata), also known as the Plain Wren-warbler or White-browed Wren-warbler, is a small cisticolid warbler found in Southeast Asia. It is a resident breeder from Pakistan and India to south China and southeast Asia. It was formerly included in the tawny-flanked prinia (Prinia subflava), resident in Africa south of the Sahara. The two are now usually considered to be separate species.

Cetti's Warblers are generally secretive beasts but I a little patience on the Cardiff wetland reserve boardwalk (there are several in the area) was rewarded with it popping onto a bramble branch for a very brief but lovely view in some soft early morning sunshine #SmallBirdSaturday #BirdingWales

I am but a humble scribe, With neither house nor land, Yet every creature brings me joy— Even the sparrow, that rascal. He builds his nest in haste and haste From feathers, hair, and straw; He thinks it serves the purpose well— Beauty matters not a whit. When feed is scattered for the hens, He promptly joins the fray, To snatch a kernel—clever, quick, And bustling all the way. He loves the May-bug dearly, And knows just how to dine; He pecks the wings, he nips the legs, And cracks them like almonds. In the cherry tree, he slyly feasts Upon the fruit's sweet flesh; And so, the tree's proud owner finds The finest pits remain. A shot rings out. The sparrow flees And preens his ruffled plumes. He may stay gone for now, perhaps, But tomorrow he’ll return. And when it’s winter, and the snow Has blanketed the roofs, No proper sparrow starves to death— He knows the holes up there. A young male Anna's Hummingbird perched on a small lichen encrusted & forked branch. Its body is sideways facing the right frame. Its head is turned towards the right frame. Its gorget is only partially iridescent, but the bird has all its iridescent feathers flared to show them if as curly as possible. Background is green and gray.

A small Song Sparrow with a streaky dark brown and black back and tail, white chest with dark streaks that form a central spot on the breast, a mix of reddish-brown and gray stripes on the head with a gray eyebrow line and a dark stripe on the side of the throat, and pinkish legs and feet. This bird was puffed up and looking very round as it perched on a brown branch of a tree in the early morning sunlight. There were more brown branches and many green leaves in the background. Seen at Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge in Concord, Massachusetts.

A pair of blue throated conures (Pyrrhura cruentata) look at each other. This species is also known as the ochre-marked parakeet. They are very colourful little parrots. They are native to South America (mostly Brazil), and are Vulnerable with a decreasing population trend.
