I just hit my (1st) SAT score in unread notis on #ReelRank

Fun (?) fact about me: I am a National Merit Semifinalist. 95% of Semifinalists go on to become Finalists. They barely weed anyone out.

They weeded me out. I am *not* a National Merit Finalist. I just have a handful of perfect SAT scores 🤷‍♀️

If you want to get technical, I got the highest score at my school on the PSAT (that year, for my school, it was a 232 or what would be 2320 on today's SAT), qualifying me for Natl Merit Semi. Easily. It's, like, a test-score thing, primarily. While I was waiting to hear back from the NMSC, I went ahead and took the real SAT and got a perfect score, which at the time, was a 1600. When I went back again and 'took it for real' as I was (crazily) encouraged to do my senior year, I got a 1600, but I also scheduled SAT IIs, like, I think the next weekend, and got an 800 on Writing, which they'd later add to the test to make it 2400, and something else I can't remember, Algebra II or something weird like that. Was there an English Lit one? I'd have done that, lol. I can't remember, but pretty much every time I took the test, it was perfect, and then I took it again two years later to prove to The Princeton Review that they should hire me, and strung it all together for my first official 2400 (I would rack up MANY more by taking the SAT surreptitiously for R&D purposes, pretending to be a student; or I'd take the SAT surreptitiously on behalf of a hyper-rich student whose parent could afford to pay me to commit, essentially, academic crimes... it's how Donald Trump got into college, reportedly, though I'm not that fucking old, you creep). Tests were, like, MY THING for many years, as much as writing, even, until The Princeton Review fired me for a totally-understandable, bulletproof reason I don't begrudge them (I was irresponsible and cost them money when I was in a position of ostensible leadership/authority) 😬
