Is it the one about the Guinness book of balls?

They’re getting better and bigger actors to do their films though. Like plodding away at looking mainstream.

They’re pretty big time though - this is one of like 6 podcasts they do

He apparently doxed himself trying to show how this works 😂

I feel like you’re in the wrong headspace for this movie 😂 It reminds me of nightmares I had as a kid and I think that’s why it hit me right

Is that the one that made them turn on Gina whatsherface

Yeah, no, hated it or not it was the right decision. Young Washington is Angel studios stealth Christian propaganda.

Ryan Murphy is incapable of telling a cohesive story - his shows always go on like 4 episodes too long because he can’t hold them together. It’s always episodes 1 - 2 are great then by episode 4 it’s falling apart then episode 8 is a hot fucking mess

It takes a bit to get going but there’s some serious uncanny valley horror if you stick with it

This is a nightmare of a movie (positive)

Give the first episode a try. And honestly, my favorite character in the book is Tommy. He loves Sue and doesn’t let her off the hook when she admits to him that she helped bully Carrie. “What did that sad bitch ever do to you?” The book is a quick read too if you’re interested

Yes. When she’s crowned prom queen there’s a moment where she’s genuinely happy and it makes her beautiful. It’s described as a breathless moment where everyone is stunned. A survivor says later that it was like watching someone be born (or something like that) Then the bucket drops

Yes - she was isolated and now she’s coming out. It’s actually more faithful to the novel than you might think - Carrie in the novel experiences a moment of coming out when she’s crowned prom queen before the blood happens. The book describes it as magical. Flanagan just stretched that moment out
