Naked Jungle, Naked Youth. Was very good today; only bought 7 postcards, some by Shrigley. Coffee and chocolate from Oxfam too. Ink and oil pastel again. Be nice if Cambourne offered me workshops! #theferrisfiles #mixedmedia #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham #frustration

Chacmool. Improv on paper. I worry about the ones stored in the garage: rail and snow could come to destroy. Saatchi has proved to be rubbish; I have given up on the jumble sale that is the RA Summer Show. Sigh. #theferrisfiles #mixedmedia #mycottenham #metaphorsaplenty

Glossolalia. I am losing money hand over fist, because I have not found a cotenant. £1000+ per month down the toilet. My friend is telling me to sell some work. I WOULD! Oil pastel and ink on paper. #theferrisfiles #mixedmedia #sotalgia #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham

The Angel of Mons, oil paint on an old door. Thanks Ann for the gift. I exhibited this in a church in Chesterton. Someone asked why the anatomy wasn't right? It was made from photos, so... #theferrisfiles #oilpainting #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham #nostalgia

Garden. Year 10 boy made a self-ortrait. I used the outline to make this maze. Off for pizza later. Want to get back in touch with my favourite model, Simon T, but don't know how to do it now. #theferrisfiles #drawing #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham #nostalgia

Box. I look at smudges and stains made on top of a background, and let an image emerge by itself, unbidden. Frued wouldn't agree, but I can't split myself into patient and shrink! #theferrisfiles #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham #acrylicpainting

A foldder called 'Ferris's Ferrises.' Ones I won't give away or sell. Ready for the Foundation on my death, rather like Picasso. Yeah, right! Could churn this style out, but didn't. #theferrisfiles #mixedmedia #mycottenham #metaphorsaplenty

That's the 14th. I got another 10 in the meantime, but I'm chickening out. Will see what tomorrow brings. A new lodger? 1000 views on stupid TikTok? Some glimmer on the horizon? This is Camazotz. #theferrisfiles #mixedmedia #mycottenham #metaphorsaplenty #frustration

Gender Nectar. I have so little success through my life: $100 per year with Saatchi; one showing at the RA Summer show, the work sky-ed and slipping off its backboard. Sold one this year (£100), but that didn't even pay for the frame. #theferrisfiles #metaphorsaplenty #frustration

Furnace, acrylic on paper. Started as a way to show how real artists go through life, literally with burning desire to create in their fingertips. Turned out my biology was telling how arthritis would get me. Weird, eh? #theferrisfiles #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham

Henry Moore. That leaves 7 pics to post. Have things to do, so will take a break. I've got a runny nose. I did think it was pollen, but it's a bit late in the year for that! #theferrisfiles #ferrisphotos #metaphorsaplenty #nostalgia

Munich. Modern art museum. It was brilliant. And a great cafe. It is very important for me that the facilities match the wonderful contents. Some don't; MOMA for example. #theferrisfiles #ferrisphotos #metaphorsaplenty #museum #nostalgia

No dea how this happened. aybe I went on holiday and forgot it. If I photographed it now, I'd get in much closer, zoom. Now desparate to get a cotenant. Losing money like a fool... #nostalgia #theferrisfiles #ferrisphotos #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham

I was born up north. Moved south when I was 7. I feel no nnection with the place now.A lot of the beaches are rocky and full of industrial waste. But they are great for beachcombing. #theferrisfiles #ferrisphotos #metaphorsaplenty #nostalgia

Let me goabstract. The side of a wago at Loccomotion, the raailway museum. Loved this place too; wwent with my father, who is no longer with us. He died last year. Memories! #theferrisfiles #ferrisphotos #metaphorsaplenty #musuem #nostalgia

OOutside the Fry Gallery in Saffrron Walden. ne of my favourite places, much under-rated. And the town is loveely. Maay go again with when she is at the printing workshop? #theferrisflles #ferrisphotos #metaphorsaplenty #nostalgia

Gosh, 12 likes. That means I need to do 13 posts. May have to do it in 2 tranches? Am picking from a folder called 'Ferris photos.' This is the Henry Moore Foundation at Perry Green. #theferrisfiles #ferrisphotos #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham #nostalgia

Obviously feeling a bit out of sorts when I made this one. Ink and hot wax on paper. It's a figure, I just realised, Dubuffet in my mind maybe? Should do some more encaustic. #theferrisfiles #mixedmedia #metaphorsaplenty #nostalgia

Caravan. We used to have a fixed six-berth at Crimdon, up north, so we coukld holiday near our grandparents. The sea changed hourly. I used to lift the curtains lying in bed at night, to watch the sequence of lighthose flashes. #theferrisfiles #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham #nostalgia

A post with Sammy on it. He's not mine, but he comes to say hello often enough. Stroking him and tickling his tum is very therapeutic. The world stinks otherwise at the moment! #theferrisfiles #ferrisphotos #metaphorsaplenty #mycottenham #cat
