@neckties-of-noir.bsky.socialI’m not able to participate in #NoirAlley Billy Wilder’s #AceInTheHole watch party but thanks to Noir City, Film Noir Foundation @noirfoundation.bsky.social
I saw it on the big screen last year.
That really packed the punch.
@radiantaerynsun.bsky.socialShe truly was robbed! She was marvelous in this.
@radiantaerynsun.bsky.socialYes, it truly is.

@sophronia.bsky.socialJan Sterling was indeed robbed! See you all next week for a movie I've never seen before! #AceInTheHole #NoirAlley #TCMParty
@sophronia.bsky.socialI can see why people disliked #AceInTheHole. In Sunset Boulevard, Norma Desmond is somewhat sympathetic. Chuck Tatum is not, at all. #NoirAlley #TCMParty

@helloandrew.bsky.socialThe guy who inspired this, Floyd Collins, died because the crowds made campfires, melting ice in the cave, causing multiple rock collapses and trapping him in a pool of cold water as he died of hunger and thirst over 14 agonizing days.
Truth is darker than fiction.

@radiantaerynsun.bsky.socialThat sums it up beautifully!
And Jan Sterling was great in this. (I agree with Eddie, she was robbed, Oscar nom wise)

@celluloidsoul.bsky.socialDefinitely the mindless oblivious self-absorbed mob thing. #AceInTheHole #NoirAlley #TCMParty
@coughlinbrett.bsky.socialJan Sterling was great in this film. She killed Tatum FFS.
@radiantaerynsun.bsky.socialMe too!

@pmoll.bsky.socialWhat an interesting, grim Wilder film. Thanks noiristas, have a good night 💤🌙💫
@celluloidsoul.bsky.socialThere are churches where you don't kneel is maybe the more telling part of that comment. #AceInTheHole #NoirAlley #TCMParty
@wmj3.bsky.socialWilder sure knows how to end a movie. #TCMParty #NoirAlley #AceInTheHole
@millerfilm.bsky.socialFish out of water to be sure.
