I agree. First of all, it’s absolutely noir, as I just mentioned to @noirbeachshack.bsky.social. I’m going to add a few posts to our upcoming LOST WEEKEND watch party, drawing the line from Double Indemnity to #AceInTheHole – because that bleakness is key to Wilder’s conception of American noir.
