In 2009 BFF Baby Daddy and I got together. Our third spaces were commonly pool halls, karaoke bars, and our friend Tony’s house who had a big field right next door.
As well as the art shows and the bar i mentioned earlier.

My #3rdPlace, (away from home or work), for #BlueSkyArtShow is anywhere looking out onto a big sky and open sea. On this occasion sunset on the Northumberland coast near Bamburgh. A long exposure image from a trip last February.

A pink-red sunset reflects on flat and low level rocks as the tide retreats. A long exposure gives the impression of the gentle waves swirling and streaking over and around the rocks and inlets in between. Lying along the horizon are the Farne islands making little impression between the North sea and the sunset clouds.

My next choice is vaguer: Europe and it stands for all we lost with the crass decision to leave the European Union. In 1972, a year before we had joined, my lovely wife and I travelled through the Continent in a VW camper. It was a joyful experience.

A familiar picture to my followers. My wife and I sit in the open door of our little red VW T2 campervan in a clearing in forested land in Sweden, late summer of 1972. Me, younger, ginger hair and beard, wearing a blue Peanuts T-shirt and jeans, my blonde wife, smiling as ever, in blue blouse and slacks and holding on to my skinny arm in case I take off.
Picture courtesy of her brother, who had joined us for a few weeks with his girlfriend. They occupied the tent that is seen stored on the rear roof rack under a blue tarp and behind the white raising roof.

After work & home, the place that brings me solace & joy is ‘the trail’. I call it the bike trail but one can do anything on it. :). There are many environments along the trail, here are luscious trees. i've just passed through a 'herd' of cacti. :)
