On my daily walk today, I stumbled upon a beautiful butterfly bush and snapped a picture of its blossoms on my iPhone 17 Pro.

A dense, cone-shaped cluster of small lavender-purple flowers takes center stage, characteristic of a butterfly bush (Buddleja). Each individual tiny bloom features four light violet petals flaring outward from a narrow tube, revealing a distinct, bright reddish-orange eye at the center.  The flower cluster is tightly framed on both sides by long, lance-shaped green leaves with prominent veining and textured, velvety surfaces. In the background, softer garden foliage creates a natural green backdrop under soft daylight.

Autumn has understood the assignment. A chilly, dewy, delightful morning.

The rain seems to be bringing all the fungis out. Little brown jobs this morning.
Boletes, ceps, porcini, penny buns in abundance.
Field mushroom. Delicious on toast.

This is my Solanum Winter Cherry. Eating these is not advised as the fruit and all parts of the plant are toxic and is part of the Nightshade family.
