The Lone Wolves. I don't know much about them, but after reading their history, I like that they feel different than almost every other merc company. I might have to paint some up, and the Wile E Coyote-esque logo is *chefs kiss*

Day Five of #mechtober #battletech and enter the Lone Wolves. Appearing in the Galtor Campaign they are one of the earliest Merc units in the lore and one of the most "mercenary" from the top down to the bottom. Always in the background, never really notably appearing in fiction...

for #mechtober day 4, there can only be one true descendant of the SLDF's legendary Royal Blackwatch. Clan Blood Spirit continued the legacy of their ancestors in seeking to uphold the camaraderie of the Star League's true children, and when that failed, died with the stubbornness of Hanni Schmitt.

It's #mechtober day 4, so we have to talk about one of the longest serving units in the (first and third) SLDF, the 328th Royal BattleMech Division, turned Clan Wolf 328th Assault Cluster. From New Vandenburg, through Amaris, survived EXODUS, carries into the ilClan.

The 4th day of #mechtober for #battletech is the SLDF,The third one is shaping up to be something special thanks to the stories of @hauptmannhansa.bsky.social and michael Ciarvella.A found family of my favorite characters new and old . The third sldf are the true heroes of the inner sphere

The SLDF has always been an ideal, something to strive for, but rarely meets expectations. It was the stick the Star League used to "include" anyone they wanted.
The 2nd Star League was just the boot to stomp out the Jags

#MechTober 4 - SLDF

I've enjoyed the recent fiction covering the third Star League: Trial of Birthright and The Long Road. The tension between ilKhan Alaric Ward's vision of a Clan society and the former Republic members trying to preserve their ideals in the new SLDF has been interesting.

Day four #Mechtober, the second Star Leauge will always hold a special place in my heart because of Twilight of the Clans being my favorite sub series. The Hunters, Sword and Fire, Shadows of War, and Prince of Havoc telling the tale of task force serpent, beginning to end was amazing

Day Four of #mechtober #battletech and all eyes turn to the SLDF. I never quite connected with the RoTS so don't have interest yet with regards the NuSLDF so shall focus on the original bogey man of the setting. The three "Year of the Star League" books in 2012 greatly expanded the info on the SLDF.

4th day of #mechtober Can't say too much about the SLDF as I've never spent too much time learning about them. That being said, Randall N. Bill's trilogy, 'Founding of the clans' helped a lot understanding the SLDF and General Kerensky, at least in their last moments in the IS. #battletech
