The second kit in the Porco Rosso series from FineMolds contains a dual stand for the two planes, just finishing touches needed for the pig, and started work on Curtiss' plane. #ItaliaGB #HistScaleModels

Macchi C.202 Folgore in the markings of 363 Squadriglia 150 Gruppo 53 Stormo of the Regia Aeronautica in 1/48 scale. Kit was released by Hasegawa in 1995, and it showed at times. First build done for #ItaliaGB #histscalemodels

This may be a bit obscure, but perhaps I can join the #ItaliaGB with the Nisshin (日進)? Originally the Giuseppe Garibaldi class "San Rocco" ordered in 1901 for the Regia Marina but later sold to Japan. TIL she suffered the indignity of being sunk **twice**! #histscalemodels

A couple of extra bits to go with my #ItaliaGB build.
Once I saw the tank crew I had to have them but this meant getting some extra decals because the Italian schemes were lacking decal wise in the kit.

I went for the italeri acrylics, as even AK is not doing anything Italo-specific.

Working on all the stowage items which has been a good distraction from painting.
I got sick of trying to manage Vallejo for airbrushing so have bit the bullet and am swapping to Mr Colour Aqueous. Due to this I've been putting off painting the camo as lots to relearn.

The project is changing every minute. First of all, halves of the fuselage didn't fit very well, so putty/glue and lot of sanding. After hours of work on cockpit, I found the transparent parts really thick & ill-fitting. The blue camo turns out to be in reality gunship grey & dark green. #ItaliaGB
