In this image a brown thrasher perches on a diagonal branch of a crepe myrtle tree facing to the lefty, the bird's left side is visible to the camera. there is a slightly out of focus bunch of crepe myrtle blossoms it the lower left corner of the frame that obscures part of the bird's lower body. There is another portion of pink blossoms entering the frame on the lower right side. Two additional gray-green branches rise through the frame behind the bird. Beyond that, in the background, is forest green from out-of-focus trees. The thrasher has a medium length black beak that is curved on top and straight on the bottom. Its eyes are pale green. The feathers on its backside and long tail are cinnamon brown. Its front side is pale tan with black spots. Strong grayish legs reach down to gray feet and talons griping the branch.
