Three years + one day ago, I lived on the mainland. People were largely decent; words had meaning; the worst evils perpetrated on mankind were behind us. In the blink of an eye, civilization crumbled. I stood my ground, but the land beneath me broke off, leaving me adrift on a tiny #island.
