@vegplotter.comAs you clear your summer veg beds, don't leave them bare! Now is the time to feed your soil for next year by adding a thick layer of well-rotted manure. No need to dig it. Cover with cardboard to suppress weeds & let the winter worms work their magic, pulling the nutrients down for you. #Allotment

@greenjimll.bsky.socialWell that was a jolly lovely day at the #allotment. Not too hot, not too cold, not massively windy but enough of a light breeze to make winnowing seed possible. Got a lot done as well - weeding, sowing green manures, seed saving, feeding and harvesting. Not to mention chatting and sharing crops.

We did harvest our pumpkins/squashes though (luckily I wasn’t wheeling them home!) and a few other oddments. The total okra crop this year is four… Might give the space over to something else next year!

@brimcrob.bsky.socialOor Allotment Fox having a post 'lunch' nap. 10 minutes earlier it was hunting a few feet from us and caught a rat. After eating said rat it continued to do laps of the allotments hunting and then settled down on our neighbours Rasp bushes for nap.
