Outside the UK, but my actual #FavouritePlant of 2026 was this Strawberry Clover in Paris in late August. Just because I've tried to see it repeatedly and had near misses where I probably found it but couldn't prove it. Finally I found one with the distinctive seed-head. #WildflowerHour

for #Wildflowerhour I chose Scabious. The small copper is on Devils Bit Scabious and the hover fly may be on Sheeps Bit Scabious (there is some nearby) but my ID skills aren't good enough to tell.

My #FavouritePlant sighting of 2026 for #wildflowerhour is this Purple Toothwort seen in May at Brueton Park NR, Solihull. This is the only location where I have seen this parasitic plant.
