Beauty of working with Eric Orr and team of @acorihonzo.bsky.social, @gohero.bsky.social, @atomictoybox.bsky.social to bring this project to fruition is why we do anything.

Artiste. Jeff Soto

My work is about representation, culture, and preserving our stories through art. I create handcrafted sculptures celebrating Black icons, creators, and everyday legends, giving our history a physical form that can be collected and passed on.

Sat down with FOX to talk Rappin Max, created by Eric Orr, and why sharing Black & Brown creators’ stories matters. That’s what LBO Collective is about. Sold out, but the waitlist is open. Link in bio.

We formed LBO Collective as an attempt to live diversity, equity, and inclusion, knowing it would be difficult & that we're imperfect, even in the best of times.

Why releasing this project w/ Eric is so special to me.

A prolific sculptural historian of black history, Acori's work attempts to fill the huge void in our society by recognizing those who long deserved to be memorialized in figural pieces.

If you haven't seen Sue's work before, check it out: suecoe.com

She's never been one to back down from a fight she believes in.

Few weeks back, we helped 317 Art Collaborative bring activist/abolitionist/artist @suecoe.bsky.social to Rockford for a show/talks.

Inspiring & truly lives her own beliefs/voice to the uttermost.

Rappin Max is a unique piece of #newyork #hiphop and #comics history that you have to be deep in both to know even exists, and rarer still if you got one of the 500 copies.

#nyhistory #rap #comicbook

@acorihonzo.bsky.social & @gohero.bsky.social outstanding pulling this together given the hostile pol environment for getting anything done.

Finally, a piece that should have been made decades ago exists and can't be erased which is why we started LBO.

Amazing project we worked on from concept to release finally landed a few weeks ago.

Eric Orr was great to work with and far too underappreciated given his side by side work with Haring. 🧵

🧵 @acorihonzo.bsky.social & I are debating an acorn setup for what we are do @ letsbeonyx.com but also to provide a community nexus place for creative ppl we know irl & digitally.
