We've received several questions so far, and put together a FAQ for you. We want to highlight that anyone can use #SoapIsAlive and #GazisSAFE, whether you join the discord server or not.
On October 23rd, we want EVERYONE to flood the tag and remind COD that our boys are alive and well!

Is this event 18+? The event discord is 18+, as we will have designated NSFW channels. However, we want to encourage everyone to flood the tag when the day arrives! Do I have to join the Discord to use the hashtags #SoapIsAlive and #GazIsSAFE? Absolutely not, the hashtags are of course for everyone to use. We are happy for as many people to flood the tags on the game release weekend. The event discord will feature all our information and special creative spaces and opportunities. If you are not interested in socialising and interacting, which are the main reasons why we decided to host this event on discord, you can set the server's notifications to "mentions only" and only receive pings from new announcements. We understand not everyone wants to join a server, and not everyone has a Discord. You can of course still create and spread the news that Soap is alive! Why do I have to submit a writing/art sample in my application? Our participant application is purely for those who wish to join this event Discord. The process is to ensure that we are creating a SAFE environment in which the people who take the time to join actually want to be here in good faith. The work you submit to us is just to see if you have been creative before. If you don't have any writing or art samples, feel free to tell us some prompts or ideas instead! Overall, we're simply trying to keep our community safe from bad actors and trolls by ensuring everyone who requests to join genuinely wants to participate.Why isn't this event on Twitter? We chose not to invite the devil into our house. How long is the creation period? We officially start on June 23rd for those who choose to join the Discord server. You have four months (until October 23rd) in which to create your work, which also just happens to be the date MW4 was announced to be released. >:) When do we post? On the weekend October 23rd-October 25th. The posting will occur over 3 days, and the way you post is up to you! If you make multiple pieces, you can either post them all at once or spread them out over the weekend. Where do we post? Use any social media you like with the Hashtags #SoapIsAlive and #GazisSAFE! The official event pages are only hosted on Tumblr and Bsky, so these are the only two platforms from which we'll reblog fan creations. There will be an AO3 collection that we will moderate based on who joins the Discord, but that shouldn't stop you from writing and posting! What are the requirements? There are no minimum word counts or minimum render levels required. The only requirement for your creation (also applies to unfinished work): Soap has to be alive ultimately!! What kind of creations are allowed? Anything is allowed. You can create fics, threadfics, artwork, comics, playlists, physical flyers… Go absolutely nuts to your heart’s content. We love to see anything! ══════════════════ Fandom is about coming together as a collective and sharing in the joy of creation, the joy of art, of unity and community. Our beloved characters will never die so long as there are stories still left to tell. And every story is worth telling. ❤︎⁠
