It is thanks to the work of people like you Jan! So thank you and yes, hopefully see you at the BPS!
Deeply thankful, a little surprised, and very humbled, to receive the Agnes Pockels Award from @biophysicalsoc.bsky.social
This is really recognition of my past & present group members, collaborators & mentors @mpici.bsky.social.
A team achievement!🤝
And very happy to see GUVs 🫧 in the spotlight 😍
➡️ More broadly, this approach provides a new way to “see“ the chemistry of biomolecular condensates – without altering the properties of the system we want to understand.
Under a microscope, biomolecular condensates look like tiny droplets. But what exactly is inside them? 🧫 A new paper in Advanced Science presents a label-free approach combining Raman spectroscopy and spectral phasor analysis to map the chemical composition of biomolecular condensates in situ. ⬇️⬇️
Thanks to @leaneubauer.bsky.social for the photo🙏

Drawing the original figures was a lot of fun. My younger daughter should get credit for coloring some of them🙏❤️. The journal redrew all figures but I still use the hand-drawn ones for lectures. For those who want to see the original drawings, check here: bit.ly/3Tc25xp
This review with Agu @mangiarotti.bsky.social 🙏on a topic close to my heart -membranes&condensates- came out some time ago.Only after receiving the printed issue,I realized it's on the journal cover. It does not have much to do with plants, but droplets on thin surfaces is kind of what it is about.
