Calling all artists, streamers, and citizens of the internet!
#SavetheVaquita Week is Oct 11-17th, and you can help!

With fewer than 20 left, these little porpoises are almost gone and hardly anyone knows about them. Let's change that by flooding the web with vaquita content!

Share and read on!

Save the Vaquita Week October 11-17th 2026 With fewer than 20 estimated remaining, the vaquita is the most endangered marine mammal on the planet. Found only in Mexico's Gulf of California, this little porpoise is a relative of whales & dolphins and is the smallest of the cetaceans. Vaquita are accidentally caught in illegal gillnets set for the totoaba fish, and they sadly drown as bycatch. Fishermen seek out the totoaba for it's swim bladder which is valued at many thousands of dollars in illegal markets. Without intervention, the vaquita will soon be gone. But you can help! For one week, the goal is to flood the internet with vaquita content. Use #SaveTheVaquita to share art, videos, streams, and more on any platform. If we all do a little, it adds up to a lot! The painting I’m working on is going to temporarily grant you superpowers! You’ll be able to “see” in ultraviolet light like many pollinators do. The rectangles will fluoresce and glow in the dark when I’m all finished. Here’s a sneak peek of the first layer 🔦

New Zelda looks beautiful & enchanting to me, but I cant stop noticing how itchy and chaffy poor kid Link's tunic looks as he's running around hyrule field. I certainly imagined the green as a softer fabric. I like the swirly details on the outer garments though.

Maybe we need a website database that sorts indie animation projects by genre or similar vibes like MyAnimeList, so people can easily look up what to watch next & log their favs, instead of only relying on word of mouth & algorithms.
