@bartblast.comSmall confession. Smaller bundles in Hologram v0.12 took me two tries. The first was a 12,600-line data flow analysis. I threw it away. That hurt a bit... What shipped just checks what the server sends. On a 9,000-module app the runtime went from 5.6 MB to 660 KB, 133 KB gzipped in production :)

@bartblast.comHey Elixir friends! :) Hologram v0.12 is out, now with much faster compiles and much smaller bundles. It builds a 9,000-module app that v0.11.1 ran out of memory on, and that app's runtime bundle went from 5.6 MB to 660 KB, 133 KB gzipped in production. hologram.page/blog/hologra...

I stayed in a hotel with 15,000 books and a spa named after Lenin, and came home wanting to play with hardware. Thank you @lawik.bsky.social and Stina for organizing it! New Hologram release soon :)

A trip planner goes offline in one window, then catches up. How it works: the compiler works out what each page syncs, and edits merge per column, no CRDTs.
