@lawik.bsky.socialBest behind-the-scenes captures of Goatmire's orchestra and vocal training so far. Ellyse was a phenomenal contributor and collaborator throughout. So glad she wrote this up.
@lawik.bsky.socialAfter 2 weeks of intense Goatmire for me, I still caught this one. AJ is a sweetheart. Also apparently a man of technical taste :)
@zachdaniel.devReposted by @lawik.bsky.socialThank you to all who attended #AshConf! Had a huge turnout and amazing speakers 🎉 We'll be releasing talks over the next few weeks. Today we have @ajetha.bsky.social with an excellent keynote talk: Adoption of Ash in a Mature & Complex Codebase
@lawik.bsky.socialNot only did they sponsor the conference. Not only do they help you fix your cloud platforms. They also write conference reports!
Thanks Ellie 💖

@lawik.bsky.socialThe best hangouts and funnest topics for anything remote in Elixir-land.
@lawik.bsky.socialThere were 14.5 workshops that actually took place at Goatmire.
We lost two to illness. We regained half an AI workshop due to ingenuity from attendees.
This was a phenomenal start to the conference.
@lawik.bsky.socialThat sounds like something you could change
@lawik.bsky.socialShe knocked it out of the park. Technically my first talk was a very shaky presentation about Apple Push Notifications in PHP via Drupal. Interestingly the web devs at the time did not get that this was a thing worth doing. I did not get that Drupal was not worth doing..
@genserver.beReposted by @lawik.bsky.socialAll inspired by @fhunleth.bsky.social 's "Nerves by hand" I wrote up "Supervisors by hand." I also got some neat AtomVM in there to try out the code while you read :)
@lawik.bsky.socialGoatmire had ~30 speakers covering a very wide gamut of topics and styles. I've consistently heard that the level of talks was outstanding. Our speakers should be proud.
@lawik.bsky.socialGoatmire had 3 distinct original pieces of music composed for it. This was Tom Petterson, Ellyse Cedeno and I believe involved Sam Aaron for some collaboration. And it was all initially caused by Flora Petterson.
Performed on the orchestra Flora made.
@zachdaniel.devReposted by @lawik.bsky.socialI'm pleased to announce our newest #AshFramework core team member: @maennchen.dev !
He has been a steadfast partner for well over a year now, and has helped secure the Ash ecosystem (and to a much greater degree the Elixir/BEAM ecosystem as a whole). He also built an entire CNA platform with Ash 😎
@groxio.bsky.socialReposted by @lawik.bsky.socialIt's hard to capture it in words Lars! Deep satisfaction at all the conversations, laughter, connection and fun. Thank you for bringing us all together to share the experience.
@lawik.bsky.socialOh, you should have joined the vinyl basement. It was indeed very packed on wednesday
@sasajuric.bsky.socialReposted by @lawik.bsky.socialLast week at Goatmire I gave an extended lightning talk titled "The Emperor's New Clothes". It will be released as a four-part series, starting with this pilot episode. Special thanks to Iryna Kostiuk for recording it. Enjoy!
@lawik.bsky.socialOur conference report has been written. It is insufficient. Please tell us your favorite parts of whatever this was.
We struggle to find enough words.
@lawik.bsky.socialGoatmire has shirts for attendees..
@pragtob.bsky.socialReposted by @lawik.bsky.socialAlways love me some RPG in my talks #goatmire
@bryan-hunter.bsky.socialReposted by @lawik.bsky.socialAt Goatmire and loving the talk by @j4nk.dev
@kamila-pokoj.bsky.socialReposted by @lawik.bsky.social#Goatmire was awesome. Thanks everyone!
