Summary page of chapter five of applemedia fanfic au fil du temps - text reads: Alastor steps forward, drawn by some indecipherable hunch. He’s right, and as he steps back into Vox’s personal space, the iron ball settling in his lungs seems to lighten inexplicably.

This close, at the edge of the street lamp’s pale light, Alastor can see the spot that Vox missed shaving on the right side of his jaw. He can see the fleck of seafoam in that fern green eye, even behind his glasses.

“Thank you for telling me,” Alastor says, unsure why his voice comes out so quiet, and weirdly self-conscious of the way his breath probably still smells like coffee,

“You…you’re my best friend, too.”

2. Vincent: Ahh...! Nothing beats a kill, a fresh start, and a movie to top it off. Heh. So... Tell me this isn't shaping up to be the best night of your life. / Movie: Help! Oh, God, please help me!
3. Alastor: I think it's a perfectly good waste of 5 dollars. / Vincent: Paid with the cash from a dead man's pockets, I can't say I really care. The poor guy always hated horror movies, anyway.
4. Alastor: I agree! When we get back, I say drinks and a celebratory dance are in order. / Vincent: Only if you can handle the excitement.

2. Alastor pushes Vincent low in the car seat.
3. Knife tears into the barrier between them and the trunk. Man looks shocked but keeps struggling.
4. Alastor, menacingly: Oh, how eager you are for us to finish the job! Be quiet now, won't you?
5. Vincent, flustered, notices Alastor's very close.
6. A while later...

Alastor: You're cleaning that up, understand?
Vincent: Uh... s-sure, Al.
