Today is the last day to submit an abstract for the workshop on the history of economic planning that I’m co-organising. 10–11 December at Sciences Po Paris.

I’m organising a workshop on the history of economic planning, 10–11 December at Sciences Po Paris. It's open to scholars from all disciplines engaging with the history of economic planning (philosophy, sociology, intellectual history, political economy) philevents.org/event/show/1...
The paper contains a lots of polemics with Quentin Skinner, weird interpretations of Carl Schmitt, Von Thünen’s model of the city, Grotius discussing small bodies of water, and Tocqueville on the prairie. So what is there not to like?
Out soon (hopefully) in the Journal of the History of Ideas!
I have a new preprint out with @picharbonnier.bsky.social !
We argue that the history of political thought has not taken the environment seriously enough. We propose a new approach that we call the environmental history of ideas.
Yes. Shall I send it to you?
