Will Jerec find the location of the Valley of the Jedi? Will Kyle Katarn stop him? Will he succumb to the dark side of the Force? Can Y-wings be piloted by Dianogas? So many answers you can (re)discover by playing Jedi Knight (1997).
It's here that Kyle meets up with 8t88... and falls into a trap.
Meanwhile, 8t88 goes to the Sulon Star, a freighter docked at a refueling station, and belonging to Jerec, to collect his payment. He is greeted by two members of Jerec's crew, Pic and Gorc.
Thanks to his Jedi express training, Kyle overcomes his young adversary, but refrains from killing him.
As Dark Jedi leader Jerec (former apprentice to Jocasta Nu, then Inquisitor, in the Legends universe of course) takes possession of the map on his gigantic Star Destroyer, the Vengeance, Kyle finds 8t88... before coming face to face with Yun, a young Dark Jedi.
In search of the map to the Valley of the Jedi, which 8t88 has stolen, Kyle travels to the city of Barons Hed, a stronghold for the Imperial Remnant.
While visiting his late father's home on Sulon, Kyle discovers that Morgan Katarn has left him a message.
Injured, Kyle is cared for in a Nebulon-B medical frigate. As he sleeps, the spirit of Master Rahn sets him on the path to discovering his potential with the Force.
Cornered by a TIE Bomber, Kyle owes his life to his loyal friend Jan Ors, who pilots the Moldy Crow.
But it's on Nar Shaddaa that we find Kyle Katarn (Jason Court), hero of Dark Forces (1995), who is trying to find out more about his father's death from an information broker droid, 8t88. This dive into the city was fantastic for its time.
