Skills shortages cannot be solved without addressing teacher shortages.

At the ESSDE Working Group meeting, ETUCE urged stronger investment in education, better support for teachers, and meaningful involvement of education trade unions in the European Semester process.

It is noteworthy that the report title starts with 'Investing in Education'... perhaps recognising the link between broader investment and a sustainable teaching profession. But, as noted by @etuce.eurosky.social, tackling the problems identified requires improved social dialogue at all levels!
