🇮🇹Mussel farming and clam fishing are facing challenges from climate change and the invasive Atlantic blue crab.
@pech.europarl.europa.eu🇪🇺 MEPs from @pech.europarl.europa.eu visited the Chioggia🇮🇹 fish market.
The delegation met with local fishermen's associations and stakeholders. They talked about fishing in the northern #Adriatic and the environmental challenges of the Po Delta, Italy's largest national reserve of wetlands.

Today, its fishing communities are paying a very high price for the blue crab emergency and for the soaring cost of fuel," said Isabelle Le Callennec, chair of the delegation (EPP, FR).
