Welcome to Kristina, Maddie and Tunde, who are starting their Master's projects in the group. It's great to have you on the team! And congratulations to Simon who submitted his thesis on Thursday and will be starting a PhD in Birmingham soon.

I don't think I've ever been to a conference with such a strong female line-up. It felt good - representation really matters. Congrats to the SCI organisers! #SCI_Celebration2026

Tune in to Inside Science today to hear my first 2-second cameo on the radio. Sadly, I'm not talking about #science, but I might make you laugh.

Top tip for scientists interested in getting involved with the media: If a journalist contacts you, reply as soon as possible (even if it's to say you'll have time to reply in more detail in a few days). Story turnaround is often very fast and contributors need to be confirmed quickly.

I am currently on an ABSW Media Fellowship at the BBC, learning how science radio programmes are made. Thank you to @absw.bsky.social , BBC and @uniofnottingham.bsky.social for the opportunity.

Cyclic diamines are important structural motifs in drug molecules (e.g. PROTACs).

Our work on Cu-catalysed arylation is the first to allow access to bridged cyclic aryldiamines, opening new opportunities for the modulation of pharmacokinetic properties: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/share/author...

Thank you for reaching out, Dr Grundl. I managed to submit the proof on my phone. Your team tells me they will look into the issues we were having with the online proofing tool on our computers.

@wiley.com @chemistryeurope.bsky.social I'm having terrible trouble with your online proofing system that keeps crashing when I try to use it and my email requests for help are going unanswered. Any suggestions on how to get my corrected proofs to you in this situation?
