@sonorode.comthere's a piece of advice in the gamedev sphere since forever and it says "however much time you think you need, double it" which is true, no matter how experienced you are so I doubled it. But now that I'm more experienced, I realize I should have doubled the double next game needs infinity time

@sonorode.comWhile a lot of things I'm going for are (imo) improvements, having no bombs at all in a bullet hell definitely is deliberately breaking a genre convention.
It stems from me personally not liking bombing in Shmups, in short, it becomes a button you use less and less the better you get. #indiedev
@sonorode.comI feel you. Switched to Linux on my laptop because it's getting "older" and its great when it works, but when it doesn't it's really not. Difficult trade off

My highlight this GC was Warding Witches, actually a German Bullet Hell with an interesting shield mechanic (instead of traditional bombs) that freezes surrounding bullets. Had a little chat with the dev, too, and they absolutely know their shit. Big recommendation!
