Thank you for your time, thank you for your effort, and thank you for believing that together, we can build a better Toronto Centre.

This Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for every single volunteer who rolled up their sleeves and came out to join us, who knocked doors, put up signs, made phone calls, and did the countless things that make an election campaign possible.

A satellite library, community programming, a seniors resource center. These are just some of the ideas for the St Lawrence Market North Building, because public spaces should work for all of us.

Nimo cares deeply about Moss Park. She's worked hard to make it a safer, more welcoming community for all of us. I'm proud to have her support to continue that work shoulder to shoulder.

Politics is about people helping people. Real leaders show up, listen, and work with the communities they want to represent. They don't just pose for photos and call it a day.

It’s Kids Vote Weekend across Toronto!

Bring the little ones with you to the advance polls this Saturday and Sunday. While grown-ups cast their ballots, kids get their very own ballot to vote for Toronto’s 2027 Tree of the Year

Some people make every room better just by being in it. Salah Bachir was one of them. Toronto has lost a remarkable person whose generosity, warmth, and commitment to this city touched so many lives. My deepest condolences to his friends, family, and everyone lucky enough to have known him.

Polling confirms Ward 13 is a dead heat. In 2nd at 26% is an alt-right candidate pushing imported MAGA cuts to city services. A split vote risks our ward. We’ve delivered housing, transit & safe streets. Every vote counts—vote early through Oct 11 at Wellesley & St. Lawrence!

This afternoon, a man likely experiencing homelessness died at Allan Gardens. No one should die alone in a park without the supports they need. Homelessness is a housing, health, and social services issue. All levels of government must act. This cannot become another statistic.

Ten years ago, Edible Allan Gardens started as a small raised bed project. Today it feeds neighbours and teaches children how to grow food. Now with a $10 million commitment ahead, I cannot wait to see what it grows next.

The Cabbagetown Festival has united neighbours since 1976. You didn’t see campaign tents out there—the weekend wasn’t about politics, it was about celebrating community, local food, and music. Loved being out supporting local businesses and catching up with neighbours!

Sai Dham Food Bank ensures no neighbour wonders where their next meal is coming from. Glad to join CEO Vishal Khanna for their Hunger Walk! From the TDSB to City Hall, making sure kids never go hungry is personal. Thank you to Vishal, the volunteers, & everyone walking with us!

Toronto has so many great annual traditions, and the Labour Day Parade is one of my favourites. From transit to hospitals, construction to schools — there is unmistakable strength in numbers. Happy Labour Day!

When leaders show up for community, community shows up for leaders. Last night with Khuram Aftab, Evan Solomon, and newly elected MP Tanveer Shahnawaz at Sam's Convenient Store was a reminder of what we are building in Toronto Centre. Together.

Grateful for Dr. Eileen de Villa's endorsement. We worked side by side for over two years, and her commitment to the people who need support most inspired me every step of the way. Proud to keep doing this work together for Toronto Centre.

Friday at the Cultural Bazaar is always a great time! The local vendors, the artists, and all the neighbours filling the space with great food and creativity highlight the best of our community. My deepest thanks to the Bazaar organizers for keeping this tradition going.

If you’ve spent any time in Regent Park, you will definitely know Sureya Ibrahim. She’s the definition of someone who shows up, does the work and build community - Through her tireless advocacy; supporting and empowering new comers, supporting grassroots initiatives and bridging communities.
