(As many will already know) John McCarthy happily admitted that LISP's functional heart was inspired by early FORTRAN, and in fact LISP began as an attempt to extend FORTRAN dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/... . FORTRAN is LISP 0! :)

今天突發奇想,是不是可以解析catalog,用Go的MVS概念實現racket專案的package management呢?可以

Pleased to announce shplait/liquid, a liquid-typed version of shplait, the language of my book PLAI. This version adds liquid-typing, a form of refinement types. It's primarily meant to be a small language for pedagogic purposes to induce people to try grown-up ones later. ↵

Mike Delmonaco

Treason: Making Macros and IDE Services Work Together

Racket's macros let us extend the language and create DSLs, but they also get in the way of providing good IDE services when the program is broken or incomplete. Treason is a prototype of a macro-extensible language that provides good IDE services even when such errors prevent complete macro expansion. Treason's macro expander recovers from errors to continue expanding and collecting information used to drive IDE services. Our key contribution is spec-driven subexpression expansion: syntax-class annotations allow us to expand subexpressions even within a broken macro use.

Bio: Mike Delmonaco is a Software

Engineer at Amazon Web Services with a hobby interest in Programming Languages and Racket. Outside of work, he enjoys rock climbing, video games, creating interactive math visualizations, writing music, programming language research, and teaching.

when we do type theory in standard inference rule notation like the left image, we often end up translating that into monadic typing systems like the image on the right but there are a number of aspects of the monadic Haskell version that are not as straight forward as wed like

basic STLC with variables, constants, lambdas, and applicationa bidirectional monadic haskell implementation (minus the constant terms)
