I for one abandoned twitter because it was instrumental in helping the current group of monsters get elected and had already begun to fester into a hateful, rage inducing cess pool of slurs. So when people say "haha you left because of AI and now-" no, a lot of us didn't.

bluesky is using AI, fourthwall is using AI, patreon is using AI, twitch is using AI, my tiny german internet host in the middle of nowhere is using AI - unfortunately everything tech related will be touched by this shit somehow. all you can do is disable it best you can and tell them it sucks

Once again for any creative; use whatever site best fits your needs for your livelihood. No socmed site big enough to hold a audience is going to be free of genAI; be realistic with your expectations and pick the lesser evil. Your value as an artist isn't tied to numbers or a particular site (+)

It’s so laughably naive for anyone to say genAI can be used “ethically“. The cat is already out of the bag, the models are already trained on stolen work. Even if you could build viable models on only rights-free work there would still be the issue of energy use, inaccurate output, etc. Be for real.
