Depends if you care but the GitHub repo is all Claude Code commits, forked from Eben Upton's Beeb Wireframe Doom, which is also all Claude Code commits. 🤷 (As you know, I'm also using Claude Code for many retro projects, so this is not a judgement, just info.)

Looks great! I didn't know you were working on this. Claude assisted or hand-rolled? (No judgement either way; I've got 4x Claude retro projects on the go that need to get finished soon, but also props if you've got a nice road engine running from scratch.)

I asked higher powers (i.e. my emu coding buddies) for suggestions and they came back with this: From memory, Revs has an interlaced display, so each CRTC frame is 312.5 scanlines? The CRTC needs to be starting a new frame every 20,000 microsec (312.5 * 64) rather than every 19,968 (312 * 64).

A deeper technical dive for the circle scroll part in the #Commodore64 demo "Viva Las Vegas". It uses two bitmaps, with extra colour fetches, using a timed stabalised NMI with auto ACK, and has background colour updates timed with the raster beam.

We begin this year's #MODtober uploads with a proper little roller. Taken from the game Eugatron, it earned its name when Korruptor (the original developer) requested the player's collision box be shrunk by 1 pixel.

We're hiring! We're looking for a Writer and Narrative Designer to join the Fallen London team at a senior or mid level.

This position is permanent, remote, and full time, which for us means 35 hours a week.

Night. The House of Chimes - a tower which you might immediately think of as Big Ben - is adrift in the River Thames. It still seems to be keeping time. In the background, a large, alien building looms over the city of London.

I've posted many C64 SID to SN76489 conversions previously. These are pre-processed register dumps with large memory footprints and need compression / SWRAM. What you're seeing here is actual SID playback with dynamic SN76489 conversion. A game changer thanks to @kieranhj.bsky.social's AKS work.

The Bloop Museum is awesome! Drove 8 hours to visit it with my son a few months back! Great to hear it's getting some celebrity endorsements :-)

Had fun speaking with @bloopmuseum today at CppCon; if you’re here, swing by their booth while they’re around!

I haven’t been yet, but they’ve apparently bought out a huge abandoned government building in Pittsburgh and are filling it with a ton of vintage computing equipment.

Worth checking the links that specify sideways RAM or internal ROM sockets. I can't remember how much testing we did back then or just assumed that all 64K was available. Does Paradroid run as it has robust RAM bank checking?
