It's #WorldSmileDay! ๐ One of the best things about working with wildlife records is seeing the amazing species spotted across Oxfordshire and Berkshire. Here are a few sightings that made us smile this year! ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฟ What wildlife sighting has made you smile lately?
๐ณ Britain's rarest native timber tree might surprise you! The true native Black Poplar, Populus nigra, has only ~7,000 wild specimens left โ and just ~600 are female.

๐ฆ Our final #NoticingNature event of the year took us on a bat walk at Horspath Wildlife Conservation Site. Using bat detectors, we recorded common pipistrelles, serotines, Myotis species and possibly a brown long-eared bat too! Thanks to everyone who joined us this year.
