Was thinking of making some type of shadow creature for this one. The seam on the pants looks a little weird. Also I thought it would be neat to minimize shadows on the body seeing as how technically he comes from shadows, so he can’t cast one.

So because I haven’t drawn animals and for sure was not gonna do that today I went with a battering ram. I do wish I didn’t make the guy on the left as stiff. Also there’s nothing else on the right, so we’re not gonna talk about it.

Gotta remember inktober is just about building the habit of drawing for me. Trying to keep motivated to do it for all the days. Even if what I make ends up making me wanna burn the whole sketchbook.

Oh boy is there more panic in this than just what I intended to draw. 15 minutes before the day is up and I rushed this so much. Was trying to draw some inspiration from the most recent Hulk transformation scene. Then I realized I have no fucking clue what Mark Ruffalo’s hair is.

So this is why we don’t start drawing with just the neck first I guess. Also was gonna go for a muscular build with a smaller head. Today I learned the necks cannot be as long as I make them for the usual body type.

Today’s Inktober challenge definitely came out very bad for a very large number of reasons. Still posting so I can come back later down the line and see my improvement.

Any fans of Rango here? Shadows on the prickles didn’t quite turn out as well as I had hoped.

I really need to work on my cross hatching for shading. Also I did goof up the left arm but what can you do when you mess up with pen.

Was super sleepy today. Tried to get the moss pattern down as best as I could.

Trying to commit fully to inktober. This time on paper. Hopefully committing to this will help me build better drawing habits and generally become a better artist. Was trying to do bits of apple around the orange’s face but I feel like they look more like weird pimples.

Been trying not to focus super hard on making great art so I don’t take 2 weeks to finish a sketch. Though I am still trying to take notes on what I do wrong and am trying to learn new things. Also sharing this random dude who popped into my head.
