@karenkeiller.indieweb.social.ap.brid.gy@evan Since university admins are risk adverse, do we have examples? I’ve been trying at my uni but it is a tough slog. @[email protected]

@dansup.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gyReposted by @karenkeiller.indieweb.social.ap.brid.gyJust wanna say how proud I am to be a part of this, and how I couldn't do this without the encouragement and support from you, the fediverse. I used to dream of building my own social network platform while I was fixing cars, a decade ago, and now I'm responsible for one of the most popular […]

Call an old friend today. Before you can’t.
@karenkeiller.indieweb.social.ap.brid.gyI got interested in Australian Rules Football two years ago when I happened to be in #Brisbane when the final was on. Just turned on the pregame show and I must confess I have never heard of Kylie Minogue. Never mind, this song sounds familiar. #BrisbaneLions
@andrewknack.bsky.socialReposted by @karenkeiller.indieweb.social.ap.brid.gyEdmonton is a young, fast-growing city on an upward trajectory, and we've been named one of Oxford Economics "2026 Cities to Watch". Our affordability, talent, natural spaces and opportunities continue to make Edmonton a place where people can build a life and a future.
@karenkeiller.indieweb.social.ap.brid.gyHow about ending the headline at Baffled.

@karenkeiller.indieweb.social.ap.brid.gyThis morning, person at a meeting announces he finished the sixth #HarryPotter book. I whisper to my neighbour, he knows that’s controversial (not the word I used, probably some kind face gesture). Yes, he knows, they whisper back.
I’ve been thinking about this all day. Have I been #trolled?
@karenkeiller.indieweb.social.ap.brid.gyI have stopped using Apple or Google maps. I am trying out #Mapquest and #CoMaps. But I am missing streetview. Any suggestions?
p.s. why, is #LakeOntario
@karenkeiller.indieweb.social.ap.brid.gyI should also point out that this is in Canada (at the moment) with Charter rights and a different legal system. https://cfe.torontomu.ca/blog/2026/07/alberta-orders-censorship-all-public-libraries-what-are-libraries-options

Who will be the brave Albertan librarian who stands up to censorship and the #UCP?
@karenkeiller.indieweb.social.ap.brid.gyWhat about Tim Horton’s support of JKR?
@karenkeiller.indieweb.social.ap.brid.gyNursing a September cold (welcome back students). On the couch with Mad Max and #BlueJays. Oh shit we are down already.

@karenkeiller.indieweb.social.ap.brid.gyYowsers! I’m trying to think of an analogy for how stupid this #UCP is. Okay. I’m a farmer and I knowingly spread the field with salt instead of fertilizer and then I pay someone to remove the salt? After my buddy, their friends, and other experts came by as I was loading the salt and told me […]
@karenkeiller.indieweb.social.ap.brid.gyThis is my first time using a mail ballot for the #fascist #Alberta #referendum. Is it normal to require folks to provide copies of identification? Fine, I have access to a copier at work, but what about people that have to make their way to a public library to make copies? Has anyone thought of […]
